He has five children ranging in age from 28 years to a few months: baby Isadora was born in January 2009. His personal interests are cooking (he is a gourmet cook), playing the piano and walking their two dogs, Truffle and Mabel. Tom writes a weekly column for the Newcastle Journal, and also has a regular blog: Blog From The North. In July 2008 he became Visiting Professor of Arts and Media at the University of Teesside. He is also Chairman of the Northern Media Industry Skills Panel. In March 2009 he was appointed to the board of regional screen agency Northern Film & Media. |
